The catch? She doesn&#39;t know where she is… and his cell phone battery might go dead soon. A young man receives an emergency phone call on his cell phone from an older woman. The catch? The woman claims to have been kidnapped; and the kidnappers have targeted her husband and child next. This movie begins immediately with action, drawing the audience in right from the get-go. Several apparent criminals break in to a house, and kidnap a woman for an unknown reason and locks her in her own attic. The audience begins confused at first, and only gets more confused later on. The story is partially badly written, because much of it seems to be contrived. At least there is some serious momentum going on in it.<br/><br/>The story is fairly fast-paced, always moving from one situation to another fairly seamlessly, and able to get the audience on their feet - if they choose to ignore the faults laid out throughout the movie, at least. There are several points in the film where audiences are sure to go &#39;hey, that would never happen!&#39; and they are definitely correct.<br/><br/>The acting itself is pretty good, though. At least the acting itself doesn&#39;t scream out such things like &quot;I wish I had a better script!&quot; or &quot;I want a new agent!&quot;. William H. Macy gave another thumbs up performance, making us, or at least himself, believe that he was a real cop about to retire and start a day spa with his wife.<br/><br/>This is the first film to be centered around cellphones, and for that, it isn&#39;t a badly written film. Just not a really, really good one, either. Also,some might remember, there was another, more popular film release 2 years ago - named &quot;Phone Booth&quot;, which is also related to some sort of telecommunication. Well, if you haven&#39;t figured it out yet, the writer for both movies - is the same person, Larry Cohen.<br/><br/>In conclusion, this film is a pretty good movie for a B-movie (budget movie) and is worthwhile to watch if you have about 1 1/2 hours to spare and want to see a movie that doesn&#39;t require too much thinking, but just some nice fun and action. While I watch this movie I thought to my self: This is probably directed by same directorPhone booth, but I was wrong. It wasn&#39;t Joel Schumacher but it was the same writer Larry Cohen who wrote it. The tempo of this movie is incredible. Every obstacle are overlapping a new obstacle. The main character Ryan are probably having the worst day ever and he never get&#39;s any piece. And you feel poor for the guy. It&#39;s thrilling and exciting! But unfortunately the movie have some serious plot holes and general mistakes, which of cause is disturbing for the viewer. But despite that I found it entertaining and I liked watching it a lot. But it&#39;s understandable if people don&#39;t like this movie, I don&#39;t blame them! But all in all, I will recommend this movie, if you want to be entertained, but don&#39;t expect a masterpiece. I think I just was in mode for such a movie that day! Macy once again brightens an otherwise mundane character.
